all about e / s / p

eat / sleep / play is geared toward eco conscience families who are in search of products that are not only healthy for their baby but also for our environment.

We carry cloth diapers, wet bags, cloth diaper safe detergent and wool dryer balls. We also carry several different styles of baby carriers, one of which is made locally by a work at home mom. The benefits of baby wearing are endless- in fact I run the store with my 7 month old in a carrier most of the day!

We have strived to carry as many local products as possible to support our local economy. We have a selection of organic skin care items made by a local work at home mom as well as an adorable line of organic bath products by Wash With Water (developed on Isle of Palms.) We also carry a line of swaddle blankets, Hope 4 Every 1, made from bamboo that are local (Daniel Island) and for every 4 blankets purchased a blanket is donated to a child fighting cancer. Along with headbands, Pretty Little Elm, made by a local elementary school teacher who named her line after her daughter.

We also carry a variety of 100% organic cotton onesies and 100% bamboo onesies, most of which are handmade and very unique! Baltic Amber teething necklaces have been one of our most popular items since opening. They are worn by the baby and are a natural teething remedy.

We want our customers to feel relaxed so we have a comfortable place for them to nurse their baby as well as a changing table at the store and even some refreshing lemon water for those hot summer days.

We also plan to bring together the community by offering several different classes as the store. We started with a curious about cloth class and will be adding infant massage and an essential oils class soon. We want to be a resource for any one who is interested in living a more natural lifestyle.

In order to give back to our local community, we will be donating a portion of our profits to the Dorchester Children's Center because we believe every child should be able to eat / sleep / play.

My son, Jackson, is the inspiration behind the store. I was unable to find these types of products locally. I wanted other parents to be able to try on a carrier before they purchased it, feel the inside of a cloth diaper (they aren't that complicated, I promise!), and be sure that the products they are buying are safe. I also wanted to offer a place where moms can come together and talk about their experiences with other moms who are interested in the same types of products they are.

Saving their future....one baby step at a time!

xoxo,
kelly

  1. I didn't realize that you were donating a portion of profits. That's wonderful...just when I thought your store couldn't get any better, you go and do something like that!! Fantastic.
